About this guide and how it is checked

PR Viet is an independent, English-language guide for organisations outside Vietnam that want to reach Vietnamese travellers. This page explains who writes it, which sources it relies on and in what order, what it does not do, how advertising is kept apart from the text, and how to correct it.

Who writes it

The pages are researched and written by the PR Viet editors, who are named as the author on every page. The guide covers one direction of travel: Vietnamese residents going abroad. It is written for tourism boards, hotels, attractions, airlines and cruise lines outside Vietnam, and for the agencies that work for them.

It does not cover marketing Vietnam to foreign visitors, and it is not a Vietnamese-language manual on public relations. Where a subject touches those areas, such as a travel fair whose trade programme is mostly about inbound travel, the page says so and stays with the outbound side.

Where the facts come from

We use sources in this order of preference:

  1. Laws, decrees and official notices, read in a published text, with the article number.
  2. Statistics from government offices: Vietnam's National Statistics Office and destination countries' own tourism statistics.
  3. Official pages of platforms and organisers: help centres, product pages, fair organisers' press releases.
  4. National news outlets reporting an announcement, a statistic or an official statement.
  5. Commercial research and trade press, labelled as such in the source line, used where nothing official answers the question.

Each block that contains a figure, a date or a legal provision carries a source line and the date an editor read the source. When two sources disagree, as the pre-event and final forecasts for ITE HCMC 2026 did, the page shows both. When we could not confirm something, the page says so.

How the legal pages are written

Vietnamese law is amended often and implemented through decrees. Our legal pages summarise what a published text said on the day we read it, with the law or decree number and article. They are written to help non-Vietnamese teams ask the right questions of their agencies and lawyers, not to replace either. Each legal page carries a note to that effect.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell public relations, media buying, influencer or advertising services, and we do not broker introductions to agencies or creators.
  • We do not sell tours, tickets or travel products.
  • We do not rank or recommend agencies, creators, media outlets or destinations.
  • We do not publish paid articles presented as editorial, and advertisers have no say over the text.
  • We do not publish testimonials.

What we do badly

  • Full-year destination statistics. Where destination countries' annual figures could not be read, we show partial-year figures with their periods rather than guessing.
  • Fast-moving platform rules. Platform settings and labels change without notice; check the help pages linked under each section.
  • Anything in Vietnamese for Vietnamese readers. The guide is in English only.
  • Legal detail beyond the provisions we summarise, including tax and personal data rules.

Advertising on this site

Some pages carry advertising spaces. They are labelled "Advertisement" and placed apart from the editorial text. Advertising does not influence what we write, which subjects we cover or which sources we use, and an advertisement is not a recommendation. The advertising page explains what we accept and how to enquire.

Corrections

If a page is wrong, out of date or unclear, tell us through the form on the contact page or by email to info@prviet.com. The most useful reports say which page and which line, what you found instead, and where: a link to an official text, statistic or announcement.

Every report is read by an editor. When a correction is confirmed against a source, we change the page, update the "last checked" date of the section concerned, and record significant changes in the log below.

Common questions

Questions readers ask

Who is behind PR Viet?

The pages are written and checked by the PR Viet editors, named as the author on every page.

Does PR Viet accept payment for coverage?

There are no paid placements in the text. Advertising, where it appears, is labelled and kept separate.

Why do some figures cover only part of a year?

Because full-year figures were not available from a source we could check. The page states the period and will be updated when full-year figures are confirmed.

How do I report an error?

Use the form on the contact page or email info@prviet.com, with the page, the line and your source.
